Function
Converts DisplayPort (digital) signals to DVI (digital or analog, depending on type)
Note: DVI carries video only (no audio, unlike HDMI)
Types
DP to DVI-D (Digital): Most common, supports single/dual-link DVI
DP to DVI-I (Integrated Digital+Analog): Rare, works with both DVI-D and DVI-A monitors
Active vs. Passive:
Passive: Works only with DP++ ports (most modern GPUs)
Active: Required for non-DP++ sources (needs USB power)
